Experience the rare opportunity to select your own single barrel of bourbon directly from the rickhouse at Sandy River Distillery.
Our Private Barrel Selection Program invites bourbon clubs, restaurants, retailers, collectors, and corporate groups to taste and select a unique barrel that will be bottled exclusively for their organization.
Each barrel represents a one-of-a-kind whiskey — shaped by time, wood, and the character of our Virginia distillery.
The Experience
Your barrel selection takes place at our distillery in the countryside of Prince Edward County, where guests step into the rickhouse and taste bourbon directly from the barrel.
Every private selection includes a guided tasting led by our team, allowing your group to compare several barrels before choosing the one that best reflects your taste.

Reservation Fee: $600 per group
Guests Included: Up to 10 people
The reservation fee is fully credited toward your barrel purchase.

Submit a request through our website and schedule your private visit.
2. Visit Sandy River Distillery
Your group will enjoy a guided tasting of several barrels directly from the rickhouse.
3. Select Your Barrel
Choose the barrel that best matches your group’s taste.
4. Customize Your Bottles
Add your organization’s name, logo, or special event details to your custom label.
5. Bottling
Your barrel will be bottled exclusively for your group.
6. Pick Up or Coordinate Distribution
Finished bottles are available for pickup or coordinated distribution where permitted.
